Captain Chris Blake has spent his lifetime fishing across Canada. Chris was born in Northern BC but has lived all over the country - spending time learning to fish as a child in Nova Scotia on the Margaree River and Bras d’Or Lake. Chris was an avid bass tournament competitor from 1995 to 2005 competing against some of the best bass anglers in Canada in the Renegade Bass tour and Ontario Bassmasters series based out of Ottawa. Chris was involved in organizing and running the first semi-professional bass tournaments here in BC on Shawinigan and Osoyoos Lakes. Chris also spent time competing on the Western Washington American Bass Association Tour. Chris’s focus then shifted to fishing the mighty Fraser River for sturgeon and salmon and ultimately to the rugged Pacific. Chris has a very strong knowledge of the local Vancouver salmon fishery and has fished all up and down the west coast of BC and west coast of Vancouver Island. Chris’s focus is on providing a safe, fun and fruitful day on the water and enjoys nothing more than getting his guests into their first, or even their 500th salmon of their lifetime!
